The Dial-a-Code App is absolutely FREE to download and use. There are no service changes for our App, and no hidden 'in application' fees.
When you select a contact or key in an international number the App detects the country of the contact, and whether it is a landline or mobile number, then adds the appropriate access code.
Through the App you can enjoy all the fantastic benefits of Dial-a-Code with one touch!
No, you will have access to all your contacts within the App, and the App will not alter your contacts.
Store your international contacts with the international dialing code starting '00' or '+'. You can find the international dialing code by searching for your country on our website.
The Dial-a-Code App and the Dial-a-Code service work for international calls made from the UK only.
There is no need to be in a Wi-Fi area to use Dial-a-Code. Dial-a-Code is not a VoIP App, so does not use the Internet. You simply need a mobile phone signal, as you would need for a normal call.
Just like the Dial-a-Code service, there are no accounts to set up, and no need to register or sign up to gain access to our fantastic App!
Yes! Once you have downloaded the App, please wait 3 minutes before launching it for the first time.
iPhone: Compatible with all models. Requires iOS 3.1.3 or later
Android: Compatible with all models. Requires version 2.2 (Froyo) or later
Dial-a-Code works on all Contract and Pay As You Go T-Mobile and Three SIMs, and on Orange Pay As You Go SIMs only. If you have one of these SIMs then you will be able to use the service and our App.
There are several ways to be sure that you are calling with the Dial-a-Code App:
- Once you launch the App you will see 'Dial-a-Code' at the top of the keypad screen.
The keypad itself has purple number keys to distinguish it from the iPhone's standard keypad.
- As your call is being connected, you will see the Dial-a-Code access code displayed in front of your international number. The Dial-a-Code access code is a 6-digit code starting "29"
- A Message box will appear displaying the following:
"Message: You are calling through Dial-a-Code"
- You will hear a message confirming the fantastic low rate for your call in pence per minute.
Please note that once you have ended your international call or have been unable to connect to your international destination, and you would like to make another call, you must re-launch the Dial-a-Code App.
Dial-a-Code updates its international call tariffs from time to time.
The iphone App will automatically update with the latest tariffs when your phone has Internet connectivity.
Android App customers will receive a notification to download the latest tariffs when a new set of tariffs is available. The download will only take a few seconds and will ensure that you can use the App to call all destinations. Android App customers can also check for, and download, the latest tariffs from the 'Tariff Updates' option under the 'More' menu. Note that you will only be able to update tariffs when your phone has Internet connectivity.
You will be charged in the same as if you were using the regular Dial-a-Code service – directly by your network operator.
If you are a Contract customer, the cost of the call will be added to your bill. If you are a Pay As You Go customer, the cost of the call will be deducted from your balance.

If you make an international call outside of the App, then your network operator will charge you its normal international rates. The 6 digit accesss code will not have been dialed before your international number; hence the higher charges.
Please ensure you launch the App before every international call you make, including redialing the same number, and making follow-on calls. If you have any queries please contact customer services and they will be able to assist you with any questions you have.
As with all other Apps, the App Store will inform you when there is a FREE update available for download.
